Here are examples of possible photography locations for your wedding portraits. We have photographed numerous weddings at all of these places, and highly recommend them for beautiful scenery and convenient access. Also keep in mind, that many times your venue will have some nice "backdrops" for photography. We also have some locations that are not listed here, they are for our clients only. Be sure to ask ProPhoto by MK about them during your consultation! ;)
Legendary View nearby Philadelphia City Hall never gets old! Nearby is another landmark - Love Sign Fountain.
Right next to Philadelphia City Hall you will find another classic location - Union League! It is possible to take photographs not just outside, but inside the venue too (unfortunately only available to members).
Inside the Union League is a very elegant and bohemian decor, could be perfect for your wedding portraits.
Philadelphia Logan Square with its lovely fountain is perfect for Spring/Summer wedding photographs.
Downtown Philadelphia is bursting with lots of locations. Another idea for night time wedding photography. This one is near Columbus Boulevard, next to a legendary Moshulu, which could be a great wedding venue for both ceremony and reception.
Philadelphia Museum of Art is absolutely amazing for wedding photography, because it offers awesome backgrounds from either sides, and by only visiting this one location our wedding couples are able to have a big variety of photos - nature scenes, city, as well as museum building itself. Just see more photos below!
View of Philadelphia Museum of Art from the front. Again a great option for night time wedding photos.
Since Philadelphia Museum of Art is such a popular location, often there are cool possibilities for wedding photography. Such those bikes. (We asked permission first of course before taking photos)
Same location, Philadelphia Museum of Art, but different angle gives a lovely perspective on Philadelphia downtown and City Hall.
Beautiful garden by the back steps of Philadelphia Museum of Art is perfect for romantic wedding portraits.
Bucks County Community College offers nice grounds with well-kept garden, beautiful gazebo and 19th century architecture. (Permit for photography is recommended, could be obtained directly at BCCC)
Besides lovely grounds, Bucks County Community College has the original building with vintage decor. Any indoor locations are great as a back up in case of bad weather on your wedding day.
Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, PA is a one of our favorite locations for its flourishing gardens and immaculate architecture, both outside and inside. (Permit for photography is a must)
Princeton University is another popular place to have wedding photographs taken. It has distinguished colonial and gothic style buildings and huge grounds with beautiful landscapes that will make your wedding photographs absolutely stunning.
Penn State Abington Campus is another great location for your wedding photos. It has a cute gazebo, lovely pond, a bridge, and a secluded forrest path to a field.
Swarthmore College is another great place to have wedding portraits. Beautiful rose garden, multiple buildings in Gothic and Colonial style, lots of space and great opportunities for photographs.
